converting A&P to AME

Hi every body where ever you are
i am really glad that i'v joined in jetcareers and i have a question
i am a holder of an A&P faa license, graduated from parks college 2002 and i have been working with the airline in the structuer field with MD90 B737
AIRBUS300 TRI STAR L1011 B747 for 5 years
my q is ...
can FAA A&P licenseed airman work in CANADA ?
Do i have to convert my license to AME license ?
i would really appreciate if some one gives me answers

Simple answer is most likely yes, However having the FAA A&P will help if you get on with a shop that does mtx on US aircraft. Every country(or country groups[i.e. JAA] has its own set of rules. A FAA A&P is only good in the U.S., U.S. territories, and foreign repair facilities working on U.S. aircraft.
 
Thank's really appreciate it... will the TC will conceder my A&P certificate from parks college for the structure ame license?
do i have to go throught another program ? befor taking the sructure exam
