Continental flt #CO1810 or Chautauqua flight CO5820

Chautauqua flight CO5820 was cancelled tonight at 2050 PST because of a hurricane? I call BS
That's weird, considering we were told at work "The Hurricane will have little, if any, effect on the operations of United or our Star Alliance partners. Operations will resume as normal". Guess not.

it is an obvious lie, and CO did not want to follow the terms of their contract....

Probably the same mentality of "We have to cancel the flight to XYZ because the crew is stuck in ABC because their airplane is broken because they diverted from ZYX and hit a bird on final. They diverted to ABC because its foggy and the ILS is out at ZYX, and they wouldn't have hit a bird at ZYX...so its a weather cancellation. No hotels."

Of course that scenario never did happen, its just a myth that may or may not be true depending on if it ever occurred or not. Or so I hear from a friend.:)
