Compass hiring... again

Anyone currently with Compass that can shed a little light on the situation there? I've seen this open twice more since this was posted and I've made sure my information was updated every time, but haven't heard anything from them yes or no wise.

Update... Compass just hired 5. Two just started OJT and 3 others will start mid-October... lost a total of 6 people over the span of about 8 weeks moving on to other companies.

I don't know of any Compass dispatchers that have left for Endeavor, but they have gone to other regionals and a couple to majors.

Maintenance controllers on the other hand all bailed over to Endeavor as soon as they moved to MSP though.

MX Controllers jumped ship as 9E was offering a pretty big signing bonus. Dispatchers are leaving for DL, OO, EV, and AX. Read into that however you want..

Don't understand the OO moves but the rest were due to getting called to the mainline or moving closer to home.

CP is a great little company with great planes to dispatch.

I know one dispatcher who left CP for Trans States but did to get home and stop commuting.

I'll explain the OO moves... and it's called quality of life.

Much better pay, medical benefits at 1/2 the cost, growth, opportunities, and a successful company with a long history.

It is what you make of it. Compass is a regional airline. Like all regionals, pay could be better. Are the benefits expensive? Yeah, but there are not many small companies where they are not.

However workload is not bad, looking at about an average of 30 flights in a 10 hour shift. Flight segments are decent. Average stage length is about 2 hours and we don't fly to many places in BFN. The E-Jets are a great aircraft to work with. Heck even with a Pack out, the thing can still get up to FL310!

Most important are the people working within the SOC. It is a great group of fun loving, hard working people. It makes me want to go to work everyday.

I enjoyed my time at Compass. For a regional I think it was very good; laid back, low pressure work environment, lower workload, good people, etc. Sure the benefits could have been better - I'm looking at you 1% 401k match - but it's a regional and benefits can always be better regardless of where you work. Starting pay for me was just under $16/hr which was damned good for a regional and more than anyone else offered me - perhaps this has changed.

The Ejets are good airplanes to work with, nice and forgiving unless it is very hot.

If there's anybody out there working as a dispatcher for Compass, I had a few questions, about the company as well as future hiring. Could somebody PM me about that. It would be much appreciated!

I hear Joe Restifo is your DO over at Compass. You are lucky to have him. Always be honest with him and he'll treat you better than fair.

I wish we still had him. Although we are probably a little better off with the new guys.
