For commercial airlines pilot what is the longest hour you have flown non stop. When i was going to holland it was 7 hours and 35 minutes and it was the day of the blackout in toronto. My friend was going to hong kong it was 15 hours. What is the longest time a plane can fly non stop with out refuelling? (hours)

18 hours I think is the longest now in the A340-500 they fly it Singapore - LAX, I also think they are doing New York to Asia which is a long way too.

I just heard that Delta is planning a non-stop from Atlanta to China. I'd guess that it would be in the 777, but I couldn't imagine how long that would be.

SOunds like a sweet gig as a pilot, though...someone else back me up on this, but If a pilot flies the long haul routes, with the 15 and 16 hour legs, do they wind up working fewer days per month? It would seem that you'd make your maximum hours quicker if you flew longer legs.

If Delta want to fly to Asia. mmm...They do have serious competitions from other Majors, such as Northwest(have hub at Tokyo, Japan).

According a retired AA 777 Captian(out of ORD), he works a little less day than other pilots, but it is all but FAR. According to his saying, he flew from ORD to LHR as PIC(only rest about 2 hours), 24 hours stop at destination, then turn around flew back to ORD.

I recently flew from Malaysia to Lax. It was the weirdest thing seeing the sun rise and set a couple of times. The worse part about it was it was a loooooong flight. Just when you think it was about to be over, nope, another 10 hours to go....

Well you are looking at the A340 or the 777 the longest a commercial airline can fly, about 17 hours,

The longest that I have flown was on a flight from JFK to NRT (Narita Japan), I think the flight was 14 hours & change.

Longest to date is the EWR-SIN flight on Singapore which runs about 18+ hours (about 16 hrs too long in my opinion!). They use an A340.
