Comm. Ride on Sat.

Hey guys, i've got the comm. ride this sat. Any pointers or recommendations will be appreciated. Also, just looking for some opinions. I was told that the inst. was harder than the comm. ride, but i found my inst. ride to be okay. Although they are two entirely different rides, does anyone feel as if the comm. ride was harder or easier than the inst. ride?

Thanks,

Keith

My instrument ride was harder than commercial I thought. I found that on the comm. ride I really had to be one my toes because the DE was making me do manuevers back to back to back in quick succession trying to get it done as soon as possible. It wasn't real difficult I just wasnt used to not fully recovering to cruise configuration before starting a new manuever. Another thing too is he would ask me to manuevers below 1500 AGL and I had to tell him we were too low, so watch out for that. Good luck!

Every ride really depends on the examiner. The best thing you can do is to arm yourself with as much knowledge as possible for the practical and practice, practice, practice in the airplane. Really look over the PTS. I think it is safe to say that it is generally easier than the instrument ride.

Pass that thing, let us know how it went and good luck!!

I agree with KBUF every ride is different with the examiner. Personally my commercial ride was harder than my instrument. Make sure that you know the special emphasis areas real well especially land and hold short operations, runway incursion avoidance, and stall/spin awarness. Good luck!!!!!!!!
