Comair updates?

<!-- / icon and title --> <!-- message --> Hello everyone. Hey I know this has been beaten to bare feet, but I jumpseated on Comair yesterday, and was told to update my stuff at airline apps. A fellow pilot told me that Comair is about to ramp up hiring again due to the fact of sooooooo many pilots leaving, even with lower mins they can't get enough to replace the attrition. I also heard once they restart, mins are going to go to Comm. Inst. ME.

Any truth to the rumor ?? What have you heard?

highly doubt it...I think they still have like 300 on furlough.

I have to echo the previous post. I'm pretty sure they could replace plenty of guys for attrition with the guys they have on furlough. What lower mins? Even if they had their mins at 1500, they'd have covered desks from all the other guys furloughed. Comair has a better deal than Colgan, and even Colgan got swamped with resumes in the limited amount of time their window was open. Sorry, but I think someone was pulling your chain.
 
I just want to clarify! Comair is NOT hiring! We have 337 Pilots on furlough!

I'm not sure of the intend of the thread starter, but his post was copied from a very lengthy thread from APC, also entitled "Comair updates". He copied someones post word for word. Don't take it seriously!!

Sorry, but I find the thread starter a bit weird anyway... but that's just me.

Negative. At least I'm not the only one who got rejected, which makes me feel a little better, but I find it unacceptable on the airlines part of not notifying their candidates. The job search continues for now...
