Comair Recalling

Memo just came out today, exact numbers can still change by alittle, but this is what the word is so far.

"We will retain 32 pilots who had originally been scheduled to go on furlough as of January 1, 2010. In addition, we plan to recall 23 pilots and 42 flight attendants currently out on furlough."

I don't believe it until these guys are back on property. Couple hundred to go before I would ever get recalled... maybe in 3-5 years.

If nothing else it can be taken as a temporary bump in morale for the guys on the street. Good luck to the comair guys- you guys have been beaten pretty bad in the last 18 months.

Yeah pretty much all this does is cancel the January furlough and bring back the November 1st furloughs. Guess those guys will get a nice two month vacation right before the holidays. Can't beat that. :laff: I'm still over a hundred deep. No hope for me.

Temporary bump in morale is right. I've got about 285 guys/gals in front of me. None the less, the sun shined a little brighter today it seemed.
