We are on a hiring wave! They are doing a new-hire class of 12 people/week. Plans call for 350 pilots for the rest of the year.

The ideal candidate must meet the following minimum requirements:

* ATP Preferred - ATP Written Required
* Current First Class Medical Certificate
* FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit
* Must have a Valid Passport
* High School Diploma or equivalent: College Degree Preferred

* Must be able to read, speak, and write fluent English.
* 600 Total Flight Hours
* 100 Multi-Engine Hours

If you have less than minimums, especially Multi, apply anyway! If you have any questions about anything, feel free to post them here or send me a PM!

Must have a pulse, at least 250 hours, and can recognize an RJ on the ramp 2 out of 3 times.

Any word on what the real competitive mins are?

Considering significant increase in overly qualified pilots now on the streets seeking employment?

I heard with in 2 days (email). The package comes in about 6 days prior to interview. That was two wks ago

Any idea on how long it takes to hear back if you qualify?

It shouldn't be very long, if you meet the mins., you'll get an e-mail within a few days, if not the same or next day. Always keep your application up-to-date on Airline Apps. I've just talked to one of the captains/pilot recruiter a few weeks ago, and he told me they have been inviting people with less than minimums. If you don't have the mins, apply anyway!

We have been getting all sorts of applicants lately with all sorts of backgrounds and qualifications, from CFIs to former airline pilots. I guess there was a B747 Japan Airlines pilot that interviewed a few days ago.

It's too bad I haven't heard from them. A friend of mine, w/ lower flight time than I (same airplane type, training, etc), got an e-mail the next day. I haven't heard from them, submitted an app on the 16th. I'm curious as to why... :confused:

Is that atp written even a requirement? My lazy buddy, who will probably complete his written the day before his ATP type, just got an interview.

Ok, I got quite a few PMs, but I think I've replied to everyones message. Also, I'll say it again! Apply! Apply! It doesn't hurt.

Don't apply here, there's nothing to see here, keep moving, this place is worse than Mesa..etc...etc!:sarcasm::rolleyes:

I updated my app as suggested and got the interview! I would say ditto on the update! Thanks a lot to UND_Flyer for the help.

No, that pic wasn't taken in CVG obviously. They do look like that in some places in Germany. I've seen a few good ones while living there for 15 years.

What is missing from this post is the following:

"New pilots are assigned to reserve flying and must be available to fly on a 14-hour standby basis when on reserve. While on reserve, pilots must be able to report to work with a minimum of 90-minutes notice. Reserve pilots can plan on 11 to 12 days off a month, and will be on reserve for the first 10 to 14 months of employment."
