Any of you guys have a decent amount of time with this unit?

Is it "normal" for this autopilot to both give you aural and visual warnings for selecting the autopilot on and off?

Off I understand.

I've never flown anything that yelled at you for turning ON the autopilot.

Anyone?

I don't think it makes a sound when you turn it on. I know there's a sound when it is turned off. I'll pay attention to it the next time I am flying.

Yeh, ours loses its mind. Master warnings and everything. Pretty sure that's not normal.

What it saying when you turn it on??

I get a master warning, all the bells and whistles associated with a master warning and an annunciator light associated with everything connected to the autopilot.

Everything else I've ever flown with an autopilot, Otto just quietly starts doing his thing when you click "on."

As @Roger Roger said in another autopilot post... Get that airplane to an avionics shop.
Is the airplane in question " the emperors revenge? "

It's already in the shop, but I'm getting a little pushback on some of the items I have with the aircraft, so incase they come to me with "ahh, it's totally normal" I'd like to have a bit of experience from others to come back with.

AFAIK, It's not the Emp's Revenge..
