I’ve had this for a few years but they still work like new. TSO’d so good to go for airline use. I’ve used them in an A320, 175, and they’ve seen some brief GA use (where they work surprisingly well). The headset comes with the case and an unopened package of medium tips. I’ll cover shipping.

They sell for $775 new and I’m asking $500.

Did you ever have any issues with:

  • ears equalizing with pressure/de-pressurization because of the seal?
  • added or increased earwax issues as a result of using an in-ear headset all the time?
  • using it in the right seat with a left-side mic and, presumably, cord plug-in on the right side?

Been considering one of these.

pressure changes seemed to effect my ears no different using these compared to other headsets.

I really can’t tell you. I’ve always had a pretty active ear wax production ability. The CA MAY cause a problem but I’d never able to tell. I will say, I had earwax build up on the tips, but after a couple of weeks I’d stuff them in a sock and run them through the washer with my laundry. That cleaned them off pretty good and I’d get about a month and a half for one set of tips. Or there about.

No problems. The cord is long enough and I’d just run it under my right armpit. Easy enough. The only problem I had was it would sometimes get caught under the armrest when I raised it carelessly.

About 20 years ago I thought I had suffered some major hearing loss. Went to the doc. Turned out the wax was so bad it was affecting my hearing - the chunk he pulled out of my left ear alone still gives me nightmares. But getting hearing back was amazing, so I've gotten diligent about cleaning.

I'll be in touch. May be interested.

It’s nasty but damn is that not one of the worst feelings (wax blockage) followed by of the best feelings (blockage coming out. Then you feel like you can hear in HD.

Sure thing. Think it over and feel free to make an offer. I’m not firm on the price.

I just got the molded ear tips for Christmas.
Comfort = way better than the Comply tips, game changer.
Noise = slightly louder than the comply tips.

Yeah. Felt like people were yelling at me for two days until I got used to it.

I’ve used a Clarity Aloft for about four years and like it very much. I find that the earbuds need to be replaced regularly - maybe every 100 hours of use.

this lines up with my experience as well. That comes out to about a month and a half to two months for me. Tips are about $35 a pack of 6 pairs that last a yearish.

I used to go to the audiologist and just ask for a handful of the 3M yellow temporary ones they gave to hearing aid patients. Most of the time they were free. Sometimes they charged a few bucks. They screwed on to the posts just fine. They are yellow with a black plastic post going down the center. Actually liked them much more than the comply tips and they were WAY cheaper

That’s a thing??? I googled a bit trying to find a third party replacement and the closest I could find was something on Amazon that a few CA users recommend. They were awful. Wish I knew this sooner.

just a happy customer review: I got the Clarity Aloft about 2 years ago after 10+ years of the original Bose X headset. I was sick of the clamping headaches, overall weight and constant batter changes. Tried by buddies thinking I wouldn't like the "in-ear" style....turns out I love it! So I got the basic model, no bluetooth or ANC. (to be fair the ANC models were on back order at the time)

pros: super lightweight, quiet (as an ANC), ear pieces are cheap and easily replaceable (I don't use custom molds)

cons: the tip on end of the right Ear metal brace can get annoying and uncomfortable if worn over 6+ hours.

overall: 5/5 highly recommend

Man. This is competing for my dollars which need to be stretched to prescription sunglasses and a new roller bag.....

Gotta find some premium time....

Your mistake is looking at this as an expense. It’s not. It’s an investment in your health both physical and mental. With this item you will be less likely to suffer hearing loss and you’ll be less fatigued at the end of the day. We all want to be able to hear our grandkids… I’m sure you do too.

Don’t buy. Invest. Invest your happy future. Your family deserves it. YOU deserve it.

Just let me know dude. Now or later… so far you’re the only one interested. If might be interested at a later date I’ll probably still have them for you.
