My company wants me to see a flight surgeon to check my eyes before I return to work for a medical issue. Can a civilian pilot see a Flight Surgeon?

The term Flight Surgeon is a military term for a physician who provides care to pilots. In the civilian world they are referred to as Aviation Medical Examiners. Civilians may see an Aviation Medical Examiner.
