Got an opportunity to ride right seat in one. Have any of you got any experience in it or know anything about it? All I know about it at this point is what I've read on wikipedia.

I'm flying one now. Any specific questions?

It's really nice and fun. Very docile.

Glad to hear something positive about it right off. It'll be my first time flying a jet, so I don't really know what specific questions to ask. I was just curious about handling characteristics and how difficult the systems are to learn. I would assume it's pretty easy to fly considering it's single pilot certified. Any useful info for a newly introduced pilot would be good.

If it's like any other Citation I've flown, and going by what I've read about it...

FADEC - Makes managing the engines easy.
Systems - Easy.
Speed - Not too slow, but not fast by any means. Manageable.
Approaches - 50%-60% N1 should work out just fine for you as you slow/configure. Small adjustments.

Just stay on top of and ahead of it and you'll be fine.

Dusty - Trailing link gear on the 510?

Mini said it right! Very user friendly.

Yes, and thank you Clyde for the trailing link gear!!

If you don't have any G1000 experience, the course will be demanding at first. If you do, you will enjoy the entire experience. The sim is touchy while taxiing but the aircraft not so much.

When do you go to initial?
