I was at planes of fame for about ten minutes two Saturday’s ago on brief layover and saw that plane in a maintenance hangar.

I can't imagine, it is truly horrifying that you have to go through all of this seeing pics/videos across the web. No one should have to see that.

That's awful news, I'm so sorry.

I was there for it's first flight in the 90's. I thought it was the most beautiful airplane I'd ever seen.

Its high profile which doesn't help, that's for sure. But the warbird community is really tight so it makes it rough. We do a ground school once a year before our season starts and it will be weird as hell doing a shot in his memory...

Without a doubt there will be a missing man flown for him at the Chino Airshow next month.
