Chicago Skyline.

4 out of 5 great lakes prefer Michigan.
Took my Uncle in law and Brother in law up the day after Thanksgiving. It was absolutely crystal clear. Got brave and did the Eisenhower Transition, ended up being a non-issue and cuts about 20 minutes off the skyline tour. (Overall about 1.1 on the hobbs from Aurora)

Yours truly at 1700 over the Eisenhower during the transition, talking to Midway tower.

I always get 933 every time I rent, but I have to go get a BFR and I'm going to go check out IAA at DPA since it's much closer to my house than Lumanair. I've never gotten around to doing the transition from Aurora, I was always coming from the East and just go right up the shoreline. Looks like fun though

I have 911 and 944 in my book, but not 933 yet. 944 had a really bad nose wheel shimmy the last time I flew it, hopefully they fixed it. I really enjoy working with the Lumanair folks, super easy going people. The transition was painless, requested it from approach during the skyline tour, then they just handed me off to Midway Tower as I turned West from the lake over the Ike.

I think 944 is at the end of its life. Something with the engine time being really high, similar situation to their seminole.

@aviatorx43 I think they have a cutlass, not too sure of the skylane though.

I've never seen the 182RG, but the a/c sheet says they still have one, it's just always signed out.

Great pics. Chicago is one of my favourite skylines and it's great you can get so close to the city still. I know it's old news but I was thinking about how Megis Field was unjustly destroyed and looked up the whole history on Wikipedia. It's interesting that though one of the justifications of the mayor was safety concerns after 9/11 that you no longer need to have permission to enter the airspace around downtown.
