I don't wanna be "that guy", but is there any reason to be banked that much just before touchdown with that much wide open space around you? Would've sucked if his wing hit and he cartwheeled or something...

I can only imagine there was some obstruction or something he was trying to avoid, since I really am not sure why anyone would have done that...but I have never had an engine-out landing, either. I was also surprised to see that the nose didn't collapse...

Probably trying to miss something, or maybe he wasn't lined up with a suitable landing spot until the exact last second.

I watched it too and agree. Unless there's something in front of me I know I can't take on... screw it, I'm going straight ahead (antenna's, signs, anything small I will gladly hit). Big obstacles... well... hopefully that is what he was trying to avoid. If not, got lucky. No matter what happened though, they walked away, so a good job. Nothing wrong with being a little critical of other's actions in your own mind though... it may save your own life someday.
