Salisbury, Maryland:<BR /><title></title> <div> <strong>Principal Duties and Responsibilities:&nbsp;</strong></div> <div> Ensure a safe, cost-effective and reliable operation in accordance with established company policies, the Federal Aviation Regulations, and consistent with customer expectations. Plan and execute programs involving personnel, equipment, policies and procedures required of the Flight Operations Department in maintaining company objective of providing safe, efficient, profitable air transportation. Coordinate Flight Operations Department activities among the various crew bases and with other company departments. Direct the flying operations, conduct, and other activities of line pilots and accomplish additional tasks as assigned by the Director of Flight Operations.</div> <div> &nbsp;</div> <div> <strong>Minimum Qualifications:</strong></div> <div> <strong>Qualified to serve as a pilot in command (PIC) on the Embraer 145 or Dash 8 aircraft used in Piedmont Airlines certificate operation. The chief pilot will be qualified through trai ning, experience and expertise and, to the extent of his responsibilities, have a full understanding of the operation with respect to:</strong></div> <div> * Aviation standards</div> <div> * Safe operating practices</div> <div> * 14 CFR Chapter 1</div> <div> * Operations specifications</div> <div> * All appropriate maintenance and airworthiness requirements from</div> <div> * 14 CFR Parts 1, 21, 23, 25, 43, 45, 47, 65, 91 and 121,</div> <div> * The manual required by 14 CFR Part 121.133.</div> <div> * Minimum of three years as PIC of an aircraft operated under 14 CFR Part 121 or 135</div> <div> &nbsp;</div> <div> <strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></div> <div> * Previous Chief Pilot experience</div> <div> * Experience with Excel and Word</div> <div> * College Degree</div> <div> &nbsp;</div> <div> The above statements provide a brief description of the general nature of work performed and not intended to be a complete list of responsibilities, duties and skills required for this position.
