Cheap way to get XM Radar WX?

I think the new Bendix/King portable GPS supports XM weather and is probably one of the lesser expensive units out there.

When they first came out they had non certified portable receivers and were working on a portable EFB solution.
certainly cheaper than getting a panel installed version.

The price on a Garmin 396 is dropping now that it is third down the garmin buyers wantee list. Check out ebay, looks like they are going for around $1100, they were $2500 a year ago. If you can wait a little I bet they go down further.

As to the subscription, that is pretty well set in stone.
