Hi, i am planning on applying to FlightSafety Accaemy and go through their exchange visitors program which is a 24 month program and says 1000 + hrs internship possible.
I was wondering how likely am i to work with them after graduation what are my odds of getting hired.
Would me being international student affect that decision.

Thankz

Well from what I hear 70-80% of those who interview get a position so the odds are good there. Being an international student you get put on the next stan class once you get hired, but people are going from being hired to the next stan right now anyhow because there is no waiting list. If you do your training here you will be a good pilot, they want to know how good you will be as a teacher basicly.

Hope that helps,

Thanks man once i get my dad to give me the Amount he can spill Flight Academy looks very good.

Thankz

Stand class, or stan, or standz all refer to standardization. Once hired by FlightSafety a new instructor will go through a 3 week process (standardization) to ensure that they instruct in the same manner as other FSI instructors. Basically, stand makes sure that no matter which instructor you have, you get essentially the same information. There are always minor variations in instruction styles or knowledge, but I think it is good for the customer that there is a basic level of quality demanded by FSI.

The good news is that they couldn't fill the current stand class, which I am in, and it may be the case that they can't fill the next one in January. This means that people are going straight from CFI to CFI-I to stand class, with little to no wait time. So it certainly is a good time to get your CFI!
