Hey Everyone!

I am working on my commercial license right now and close to going for my checkride once the plane comes up from maintenance in KFRG area. After getting my commercial single engine, I want to try to attain my CFII-Initial and then CFIA add-on. I am considering two flight schools for my CFII/CFIA and that is Sunstate Aviation at KISM & American Flyers at KPMP?

Any recommendations or insight on any of those two flight schools would greatly be appreciated
Thanks

Friend of mine just went to Sun State last month for accelerated private. He liked it and was impressed. Good planes and nice facility. Examiner was from Jack Browns Seaplane base which is close by.

I went to Shebles a few years ago for my CFI initial. Worked good for me. You can read the other comments on Shebles here on JC.

I just finished the American flyers program down at the Addison location. I thought the program was very well organized. I really got a strong grasp on how to teach and what to include in my lesson plans. The biggest pro of doing the American flyers program is that they actually teach you how to present material and they review everything so your instructor so knowledge is where it needs to be. They train you to become an instructor, not just to pass a check ride. I highly recommend it to you and anyone else. PM me and ill go into more detail about my individual experience.

If you have any specific questions besides pricing, PM me. I work at the AF at KDPA for 4.5 years now. Good luck wherever you go!
