CFI Program?

Anyone have experience or reviews with the CFI program? Quality of instruction?

Dutch Wings has definitely caught my eye due to the price and wide selection of aircraft they have. I wouldn't mind taking a joy ride in the XL2 and R22 after training.

Also, I see they recommend Texas Taildraggers for the spin endorsement. Anyone have feedback on them? That would be the icing on the cake to do about 15 hrs of Aerobatics!

I got most of my Comm Multi with Dutch Wings, and was very very happy with their setup, professionalism and prices. Unfortunately, the plane broke before my checkride and I had to go back to Dallas to finish up.

I also did my spin and tailwheel endorsement with Joy Bowden at Texas Taildraggers, and I couldn't have better things to say about everyone there. I am definitely going to go back when I'm next in Houston, to do some acro.

Both DW and TT are highly recommended.

Thanks for the feedback. Will take it into consideration.
Did you just do spins or did you get some intro in Aerobatics like rolls, loops, etc.?

How many students are there right now? Are they pretty busy? Is it easy to get on the schedule when you want?

We just did a load of spins and a load of landings for the tailwheel endorsement. She was very keen on making sure that I was very proficient in recovering from fully developed spins. We would 5 or 6 3-turn spins in a flight, and Joy only considered me proficient when I was able to talk my way through and then roll out on a pre-determined heading. Any way, I was only in town for a limited amount of time, so was unable to do amy acro. Next time though, for sure

At Dutch Wings?

When I was there, around late November, there were a few students it seemed, but I had no problems whatsoever in scheduling the Seneca. Flew nearly 8 hours in it over 3 days. Maybe the single engine planes are harder to get scheduled, but they seemed to be very much on top of things. I gave them a weeks notice that I was coming and they made it work. Unfortunately they plane broke the evening before my checkride.
