I am moving back home to Oregon and i have been talking to a local flight school about working as a CFI there. I havent flown in about 3 months since i got my CFI and am a little rusty on the material. I have been studying general Instructing stuff but does anyone have any ideas of what may be asked in an interview. I have had many other jobs outside of aviation and have landed the job after every interview i have been too. This is be my first CFI interview, im not sure if it will be formal or not so i have no idea what to expect. thanks for the help guys/girls

All my CFI jobs have really been HR interviews (all 2)...

They figured I knew the material and they wanted to see how I was as a person.

If you are talking about ProAir, I wouldn't worry about it. I don't think there is such a thing as "interview" there. Ha! Especially if you do some training with them, they'll be able to see your flying skills/knowledge.

My interview at Alpha Tango (in KSAT) consisted of xeroxing my CFI and medical and Hameed saying the airplanes are out back, keys are under the desk and that he doesn't carry hull insurance because so long as we (the CFIs) only total one or less aircraft per year it isn't worth it. ;)

That was a while ago though
