CFI-I with American Flyers in Scottsdale, AZ

Hi guys,

I'm in the process of getting my CFI-I with AF. I'm being quoted $3,965, and an additional $800 for the check ride ? Seems pretty steep to me but then, my last check ride was in 2000 so maybe prices have gone way up.
What do you guys think ?

Yeh $800 is standard for checkrides these days in AZ. Good they delegate to DPEs. Most in the valley are firm but fair.
