FLIGHT EXPRESS EMPLOYMENT
BECOME A PILOT AT FLIGHT EXPRESS!
Working at Flight Express provides the opportunity to gain real world experience flying with a company that emphasizes safety.
The pilot pay scale has recently been improved at Flight Express. We now pay $10.00 for every hour on duty, regardless of flight time. All runs with 7.5 hours or less of duty time, however, will still pay our minimum annual rate of $19,500. This change has increased the pay for most of our flights.
Flight Express also offers free training, great maintenance, excellent medical and dental coverage, numerous pilot bases and schedules, as well as paid vacations and holidays, seniority raises, direct deposit and a 401K program. New pilot employees are paid during each day of ground and flight training, and a $1,000.00 bonus is paid after the successful completion of the training and initial check ride. In addition, Flight Express will provide new pilots with free room accommodations throughout their training session. More detailed pilot training and employment information is available here or see our Flight Express Benefits Page for a general overview.
While our principal base of operations is in Orlando, we also have pilots and aircraft located in 16 cities throughout the Southeast and Midwest. (Please see our Flight Express Domiciles Page for details). Our seniority based system determines domicile, compensation and equipment type, and new applicants must be flexible enough to move anywhere in our system. Upgrade time from single-engine to multi-engine is based on seniority and is currently ranging from 6-8 months. Pay varies with each run and will be anywhere between $19,500 and $36,400 annually.
PILOT POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants are required to have the 135 IFR minimums:
1200 Hours Total
500 Hours Cross Country
100 Hours Night
75 Hours Instrument
50 Hours Instrument in Actual Flight
We do not have second in command, aircraft loader or flight engineer positions.
Your resume will be kept on file for 12 months and may be updated every four months. Apply now with Flight Express by faxing your resume to (407) 894-1260. You may also complete our on-line pilot application form by clicking the button below:
