I am searching for information on Cessna 208's & Cessna 414A.
POH's - good sources - manuals.... reading & learning stuff.
Pointers would be much appreciated.

Also I am collecting information on "Initial/ Recurrent" simulator training places for both aircraft. I don't know if there is any good programs available in excess to what Flight Safety obviously offers.

If you have insights or experiences to share, would you please?
Thanks!

I've got 1,000 hours in a Caravan. Outside of FSI there is a place in Kansas, the Turbine Training Center, that does initial and recurrent training for 208's and King Air 90's. I can't speak to the quality of their training; we do all our Caravan training in-house. I've got a checklist or two laying around here somewhere... let me know if you have any specific questions.

Oh, is icing going to be an issue? There is a cold weather operations course compiled by Cessna that you must complete annually to act as PIC in a FIKI-capable Caravan when known icing conditions are forecast for your flight. The course is $50 I believe.

Thanks a lot Gator!
We'll check them out.

Should have mentioned the first time around, we use Simcom for our Citation training. They have a 421/414 training course as well; it's a stationary setup, not full motion. The course is a bit expensive although they do give discounts if you send two people at a time. We've got the 421/414 Simcom training manual in the office. Any questions, let me know.

Oh darn, Simcom, I forgot all about them.
Gotta thank you again! Wanna sell the training Manual?
Cheers,

Great, thanks! That should be more than enough to select from!

I would recommend the new book Caravan: Cessna's Swiss Army Knife by Lewis & Cook. It is has a lot of information about operating the caravan, history, technical, and some good stories. I picked up a copy for $12 on amazon. I was surprised at the amount of technical and operational information in there. The book also lists all of the training companies for the aircraft as well as all of the companies that operate it.

Also check ebay for manuals. I picked up the Pan-Am manuals a few years back pretty cheap.
