My first try at video makin' - it's sorta long, flying parts are at the beginning and end. Camera work wasn't great either - sorry!

Nice video, that plane looks GREAT for it's age! Amazing what a nice coat of paint can do!

Cedar Key seems to be picking up a lot of pace now, too bad there isn't enough room for a JC fly-in or anything. Ramp could fit maybe a dozen planes at the most I'd say...

great video.. where did you fly from? did you have to have fuel at the tabs for the 4 of your to be under max weight??

Dude:
There are certain things you don't ask.

A girl her age.
"Do you want to talk it through?"
And, How'd you do that without...

Flew out of KPIE (St. Pete Clearwater). Took about 1:15 to get up there, and :45 to get back with winds. I only took 30 gallons which left us right under max gross on takeoff out of St. Pete. Fortunately it was also a low density altitude day as well.

Is that a Hawk XP??!!!

Nope - '81 172P with tuned exhaust. Has a useful load of 821 lbs (2,400 lbs max gross). I'm 175, other dude is also 175 - ladies were 140lbs and 135lbs. Had 30 gallons of fuel. 5lbs for headsets, and a 10lbs center console. That leaves 1-pound to spare :)

cant get the video to work....? says its no longer available. oh well, ive been there before. i say we go ahead and try a small JC fly in! or maybe one over to F47.
