Cast of Airplane! reunited. Older but good

From just prior to Leslie Nielsen's death about 5 years ago. Funny to hear some of the backstory from the cast members. Great stuff here! Especially about airline crews and how they love the movie, regardless of generation. :D

Thanks, Mike for the trip down Mem Lane. Led me to several clip reels and a half hour I hadn't planned but really enjoyed! 25 years after its release, too many of the stars are gone.

Just try to pick out the other stars doing cameos! The list is endless, from Ethel Merman to David Leisure (the smarmy Isuzu guy).

Now I need to get the film itself out of the library, and find some out-take reels.

I must have rewinded the tape 100 times for the brief gratuitous boobies in the panic scene. Hec, just googled the scene and they hold up! Timeless (the boobies and the movie).

I'm sure everyone here knows that Airplane! was a remake of the movie Zero Hour!, right?

And yes I'm serious....and don't call me Shirley.

All in all, the first Airport movie was't bad. It had a modicum of technical accuracy and the melodrama was on the down low. Dean Martin played the "•" captain with some accuracy, and Jackie Bissett was easy on he eyes.

All the rest were drek.

Blasphemy. Complete and utter.

The mention of the original Airport, and no mention of Joe Patroni.

"This plane is meant to withstand anything, except a bad pilot!" :)

George Kennedy's character in this movie, reminds me of the mechanic on Baa Baa Blacksheep, aka Blacksheep Squadron.

Loved the Airport movies of the 60's/70's.
