CargoJet 727, runway overrun in Moncton, New Brunswick, CYQM

This job would be easier without all the airplanes
CargoJet had one of their 727's overrun the runway the other night during a relatively miserable rain storm.
The winds favoured Runway 06, and they are parked (still) off the end of runway 24.
06/24 is the shorter of the two runways in Moncton, and the Cargo guys flying 727's almost always land on 11/29 which is longer, we have three 727 operators here... CargoJet, Morningstar(FedEx) and Kelowna Flightcraft (Purolator).

No one was injured when a large jet skidded off a rain-soaked runway at Greater Moncton International Airport today.
There were three crew on board the Boeing 727 operated by Mississauga, Ont., based Cargojet.
It's not clear if they were landing or taking off.
Chris Farmer, the airport's director of operations, says although the jet is impeding one of their runways normal operations continue on another.
He says Cargojet officials are making arrangements to have the aircraft towed out of the mud.
The Transportation Safety Board will investigate.
The aircraft was landing at the time.
Some pictures taken from a local pilot, the aircraft is not readily visable from the ground as the button of 24 is not easily visable from anywhere on the airport grounds.

Re: CargoJet 727, runway overrun in Moncton, New Brunswick,

Been there once. Sorry to hear that, though it looks like the crew would be okay (off course that's just an assumption) from this.

Apparently they are just fine, including the cargo.

The problem is, given the time of year, the rapid snow melt we've had the torrential rain, the aircraft apparently sank right to the wing root in the mud when it came to stop, so they're having a helluva time getting it out.

Those dangerous freight dawgs!

Glad everyone is ok

Don't the pictures show that they ran off the end of 6, not 24?

A bit of a typing confusion on my part, I was simply saying that it appeared they landed into wind, not with a tailwind

(Landed on 6 to end up on the button of 24)

Sorry for the confusion :)

Wow, I was just there last week. Glad the crew was unharmed.

If only it were snow...and blocking a runway...and a 707...
