Car Rental Prices

So... anyone have good deals to get lower prices on car rentals?

I have a 13 day reservation at 233/week. Anyone know how to get it lower?

A little more info is needed.

What size vehicle? How did you book it? Online? Phone call? Did you already mention any organization or groups you're part of? Hotels, AAA etc etc? Did you ask for a better price? I feel like not everyone knows this, but you can negotiate prices on rental cars.

It could just be me, but $33/day for a rental car is a damn good price, assuming thats post taxes/fees.

Saying you are with some random large corporation usually works to get their rate. Of course, they usually contract to only on rental company, so it takes some trial and error

I got a USAA discount, 5 days with budget at $86. I was most impressed.

Budget's counter service was horrible when I went to pick up the car, and it was a Chevy Boxo•e, but it was cheap!

Priceline. In the "good states", I've gotten jags, BMWs, volvos, escalades and infinitys for 18/day. Got a Chevy Impala for 6 dollars a day once! LOL

Rent for another day, 7 day increments are generally really cheap. Back a few years ago I did a week @ $120 including all taxes and fees in FL, the car was only $10/day. Thought that was crazy cheap.

Try priceline.com and hotwire.com. I've gotten rates from $8 - $13 per day @ ATL, TPA, MCO, FLL in the past. ALAMO usually has good rates also which are even better with discount codes.
