Captain Sully and Crew on 60 Minutes Tonight.

I will as long as I get a CBS affiliate station here in YUL. I may ask the other FA overnighting with me to join me!

Afraid to watch it alone Q? You know all the guys are now thinking what else you might do with the other FA alone in your room. ;)

The blonde FA is annoying me.

Same here. She's a nutbag. The rest of the crew, on the other hand, were very professional.

I think this story, seeing the crews' faces, and hearing their points of view is, overall, a good thing for the industry, especially flight attendants.

I feel as if she believed she was not getting enough attention from the whole thing so she made sure to emphasize how horrible it was in the back. Don't get me wrong, she was on an airplane that landed in a river. She went through a lot and even has the scars to prove it. I just feel she made sure everyone else knew it while the others remained humble. The other FA's came across as wonderful people.

Did anyone else see the picture a kid drew of the plane going down during his hometown parade? It showed a plane landing on water and he wrote something along the lines of nice landing! It gave me a good laugh.

Re: 1549 crew on 60 Minutes

The only thing that stuck out in my mind was Sully continuously refering to what "I" did, "My airplane", after "I landed", "I took the controls". Me... me... me.

Someone skipped a CRM class I guess. I feel bad for the FO.

I am glad someone said it...she annoyed the crap out of me! Captain Sully was VERY professional and seems like an amazing aviator. I hated how Couric kept trying to get dramatics out of him and he kept answering honestly and succintly..

"So how did you know you hit birds"

"There was a big bang and the engines went silent"

...come on Katy!

Re: 1549 crew on 60 Minutes

Well, we're seeing CBS's version of the story. They gave Jeff just one line.

Lame

Katie Couric is totally useless.

It would have been great to have each crewmember sit down in front of a camera alone in a room for ten minutes each and talk about whatever facet of this event that they wanted to.

Great job to all five of them! Everything went well as we can see by the outcome.

But 60 minutes appeared to be trying a bit too hard to get emotion and tears and hero stuff out of this.

Re: 1549 crew on 60 Minutes

Too bad they didn't ask him about Branson's offer to double his salary if he defects to Virgin.

I don't know wether to be inspired or discouraged by Sully. There's just no way I could ever be as eloquent or professional as that man.

:yeahthat: I thought she was going a bit overboard with the whole " I can't wear my uniform yet " story. I mean if it was something like 9/11 I could absolutely see it, but an incident where everyone survived with very minor scratches?:whatever: Also the fact that she admitted to pushing people and yelling because SHE was scared... I hate to say it, but all the average people out there watching this are going to think that F/A's are not essential which is absolutely not true. On a side note, I really enjoyed the program and I am glad that the FO finally got to share his perspective.:)
