I recently saw a Cape Air plane here in Evansville, Indiana. After checking out their website, they sounded like a good company to work for. Does anybody know anything about them? Minimums, salary, schedules, experiences, bases, any info would be helpful.

Thanks

Being a New Englander.....I've seen them as long as I can remember. Although I am still a youngster at the age of 26 compared to some other people around here. I was actually looking at them as a viable option for me here being based out of New England once I start and complete all of my training and instruct for at least a year to get my hours up to the mins where I can start to be competitive. Though, that is still a while off for me here but definitely a good place and a good option.

There mininums are 500 hours...However, I spoke with their pilot recruiter and had a good laugh with him when he told me that the last two applications he recieved were guys that had 500 hours and a Boeing 737 Type rating. If you want to fly for Cape, get your CFI and II and build time so you can upgrade quickly. From what I took from our conversation the MEI isn't so important, but they look highly on the I and II.
