Haha.. the third line from bottom,
"
Attempts to reach a spokesman from Colgan Air were unsuccessful."
why does that sound normal.
The newer planes? heh... the 340B is 3 years older than the 1900D. The 340 already comes as a 30 seater. There is no need to move a bulkhead to prevent seats from being reinstalled. They can already put more seats in the 340, and i have yet to see a bulkhead installed to prevent that.
I have a feeling you will see Cape Air in more ME airports than RKD.

and here you see where most of the UAL system EAS contracts were re-awarded. BHB and AUG are still on the table for Maine.
http://airlineinfo.com/ost10/ost061008.html#Anchor-Essential-47857 . The Cape Air bids as the rumor goes, were nearly 1/2 the Colgan cost... Nowhere have i seen any proposal that includes Colgan paying for anything.
http://airlineinfo.com/ostpdf69/676.pdf -PQI stuff... may be old... i do forget, unless there was change.. the 90 day notice there ends this month.
Cape air also Bid the EAS in AUG, RKD in 2001. At that time the colgan subsidy was over 2.3 million a year. In 2004, AUG,RKD, and BHB together were over 3 million.
The same airport manager would not sand the runways to help the pax get in or out in winter... because he would then have to buy more sand. I won't miss that place
