Very sad that these volunteers lost their lives training to serve their community.
Was somewhat glad to hear that no cadets were involved.
The person identified as a co-pilot was not a pilot but a mission observer trained to assist pilot with navigation, communications, and search-related tasks.

Correction: The person identified as the “co-pilot” was not a CAP pilot but holds a PPL.
