Can I fly this question...

Most Schools and FBO's sign you off for all 172's when you get checked out in one of the versions. No real differences except the carb heat in the older models and fuel pump in the newer models. Oh and the newer models have more sumps and the SP's have 180 HP engines. I trained in the 172R and SP, and didn't have any difficulties switching over to a 172P.
