I guess the title speaks for itself.

Can completing a type rating course (with check ride) satisfy the requirements for an IPC?

In other words can the requirements of an IPC be done concurrently while doing a type rating course.
 
As @Nark said yes, but it never hurts to double check with your instructor to make sure it counts. When my 135 company goes to SimCom the PICs get an IPC or the 135 equivalent to it every 6 months per our training program setup with SimCom.
 
If you wanna be particular...

Simulator: 61.57 (d) (1) (ii)
And
“Authorized instructor”: 61.57 (d) (2) (iv)

Make sure you have some record of it.
