Cameras in the cockpit?

I know that not too long ago this was being considered and I know that most pilots strongly opposed that idea. What about having cameras in the back with monitors up front enabling the pilots to see what was going on with their pax and, if needed, in the luggage area. I realize that this probably isn't plausible because of cost and other variables but i was just wondering what opinions some of you might have. Fly safe

KLM has cameras on the passengers on their new 777s.

I've got a pretty nice window where I can look out into the cabin!

The lav is the critical area. You'd have to have them in the lavs. Then it would be captain's discretion, depending on who was in there, as to who monitored the ....... monitor.

b6 has camers in the cabin, they can be watched up front.on little tv's, same ones in the cabin, the pilots are mostly watching the ...........weather channel though in case of any enroute weather......
