Hey everyone, I'd like to start filming some flights and was wondering if anybody has done this from the cockpit before? What type of camera and how are you mounting it are my questions. Thanks

Yes.

What type of camera

My Sprint LG camera phone.

and how are you mounting it are my questions. Thanks

In my hand.

All kidding aside, I have flown a few flights in a 150 and a 152 that had a camera mounted. There was a mini tri-pod right behind the seats that let the camera sit and shoot between our shoulders, almost at roof height. It was perfect. It allowed the camera to have all of the panel in view as well as outside.

I have a picture of the set up on my computer. (I think) If I find it I will post it.

I thought you were talking about cameras in the cockpit... like cameras to monitor what we're doing in there!!! *whew!* The day that happens is the day I end my career as an airline pilot.

I'm not flying just along for the ride in the back seat.
