Camarillo Controllers

I'll see your CMA controllers and raise you LGB (-1 prick). I'm convinced we have the best of the best here!

I have been on the frequency with aforementioned prick, I think.

OP: If you want to meet the tower, that can be arranged.

Sure does. You fly at Elsinore?

Yeah sure do. Luckily we had some Air Force guys out doing static lines yesterday to keep us busy. The weekend looks to be a crapshoot though. You guys pretty busy up there? I imagine you would be since a lot of people from the Valley wouldn't want to drive all the way out here or to Perris.

Yeah we have been. We had 23 tandems scheduled for Saturday which would have worked out to be 15 or 16 flights for me. Disappointing. I might head out there this coming Tuesday or Wednesday with our tandem instructors. They sometimes do fun jumping there during our "mid-weekends." Do you ever fly with the right seat open?

Send me a PM if you come out. Weekdays are usually pretty slow. We are usually closed Tuesdays, but have been opened for AF contracts. If the weather works out and we jump Tuesday I will try and get ya in the right seat if you want.

I'll see your LGB controllers and raise you Roswell, NM (KROW) controllers. Some of the most laid back, accommodating contollers out there.

Agree. And too, if you ever come this way to try, ATC at KRYN on the west side of Tucson.......extremely accommodating.

We've been having pretty good luck with socal accommodating us at all altitudes off the arrival and departure ends of lax. I'd love to hear the takeoff clearance... "SWA, cleared for takeoff, climb and maintain 2000, traffic 12 o'clock 5 miles 4 cessna 172s 2500, 3000, 5500, 7000, circling."

I was out that way a few weeks ago knocking out my Comm X-C requirement, but I landed at KTUS (close to my friend's house).

I would say most of Tucson is accommodating to anyone. I have been that jerk that did the ils into ryan go missed to shoot the ils into tus go missed and shoot the gps back into ryan. Do all of that and then the ndb back to ols in 1.2 or 1.3. Tuscon controllers were the greatest to work with.

Its too bad Whispering Will is no longer at the TRACON.

I've been up in the tower, they are open to the idea, since we have a "business relationship", call them on freq when its slow, and tell them you wana come up. Or call the tower on the landline. Its amazing what they do with what they got..
