Just on MSNBC. The FAA has confirmed it was not a bird. The crew heard a loud noise at 18,000 feet. Its in MSP now for further investigation.

Didn't they say "it couldn't have been a bird, as none fly that high"? Um, pardon me, but haven't there been geese in the low to mid 20s?

I think the answer is simple really. Obviously Chuck Norris wanted that airspace and gave that airplane a roundhouse to the nose as a warning.
