Business Aviation: The Unfair Advantage

Not usually since 91 is a private owner whether it be individual or corporation. Even if we were offered a tip we would be required to politely decline.

I've heard instances of 135 or "air taxi", or Fractional (91K) getting tips.

I fly for a management company both part 135 and part 91. I occasionally receive tips on 135 trips, but never on 91 trips. It's always fun when you unload the bags and see the pax pull out their wallet, and you're thinking to yourself "sweet, a tip!" but then they hand a $20 to the lineman who took the bags from your hands while you where unloading. Then the pax stuff their wallet back in their pockets and give you that look that seems to say "no tip for you because you're a pilot and you're already rich."
