I bought the telex, but never used it. The only reason I took it out of the plastic bag was to make sure it wasn't dead on arrival. I also have a 4-place intercom, never used. Because the headset is new, it smells like new (no sweaty summer use), and there is not 1 scratch on it. It also comes with manual and cig. lighter plug. I've tried bose, and IMO, it is better than bose because there is good passive noise reduction. Bose has no passive noise reduction, so if you lose battery power, good luck.

This is telex's top of the line headset, with a 4 place intercom for $750 shipped+insurance. Yes it's a lot of money, but for flights more than 1 hour, having a quiet and comfortable headset really reduces fatigue. Plus, you're not paying a premium for Blows' "better sound through marketing". And with high end headsets, there's always excellent customer service if you have any problems. I have been a member here since 2002. If you know anyone who needs a headset and intercom, you can sell it to them and keep anything over $750 for yourself, and it will still be a good deal.

Selling because I don't use it and someone else could use it. Both items are cheaper than anyone could find them new after shipping, yes these are my personal items. I would rather sell these to a jetcareers person than put them on an auction site.

was just asking... no big deal! might come in handy for someone who wants to know why your selling them :)

Lowered price to $725 shipped. The value of the headset, plus the intercom, plus shipping is about $850. Again, they are both brand new and have not been used once in an airplane. It's like you are getting a brand new 4 place intercom for free. If you know anyone who is looking for a new headset, you can keep anything over $725 for yourself and it'll still be a good deal! PM me if you have any questions.

Kind of non answer.... Why buy a 1 grand worth of stuff to not use it?

Why does some people have clothes in the closet for 5 years with the price tag still on it? Bought it, didn't use it, selling it. It's a good price, but I'm not santa. If you're interested, I've been a member here for a few years and my name is in the FAA registry with my home address that matches my paypal address, safer than ebay.

The $725 includes shipping, insurance, and paypal fee. They take a percentage of what I receive, so if you pay by check, $710 shipped and insured.

Lowered the asking price to $699, including paypal fees, shipping, and insurance . You are getting a brand new headset AND 4 place intercom for less than the price of the headset new. Both of these would cost over $850 after shipping if you were to buy them new.

Willing to sell the headset and intercom separately.

Headset for $625 shipped and insured. You are saving over $100 compared to the lowest online price you will find anywhere!

I need a headset, but I can't pay that much yet. It would be worth it to buy a good one for my flying career though. Wish I had $650.....

Re: Brand new telex stratus 50-d, plus 4 place intercom, bot

Oh boy, the bose booster club comes out. Now keep your post dumping to yourself. I know you love your bose, but either these people don't or like the telex stratus more. The ONLY thing bose is objectively better is that it's smaller. Telex is better value, better ANR, better power since it can use both panel and battery.

Also, why doesn't bose publish or even advertise their ANR reduction levels? You won't find it anywhere. Because they know that telex has 50 dB of noise reduction, better then bose, end of story.
