My Wife and youngest son and I are just back from an 8 day photo safari to Botswana.
We were in 2 different camps in Botswana, the first at Kwando Lagoon on the Northern border with Namibia and the second at Kwara Camp in the Okavango Delta.
We had a great time despite my wife having her cell phone and the chip with 1/2 of our digital pics stolen from her bag on the flight home from Maun, Botswana to Johannesburg, South Africa. We still have the second chip and my son's video camera pics as well as those from an old 35mm film camera we brought as a back-up.
The wife has traded emails with some of our companions who should be able to fill in the gap.
Until then, here are some pics from the second half in no particular order:

Sunrise over Botswana.

An elephant outside our tent.

Warthogs!

Us with our English friends in our Uri Vehicles Game Viewer.

More elephants!

Cessna Caravan which was our ride from Kwando to Kwara.

Vultures. I'm not sure why the sky turned green in this exposure, but it made for a cool picture.

Male lion.

3 male lions eating a hippo. These males are part of a group of 7 males who the guides call "the magnificent seven." They are all brothers or cousins and they share a large pride between them. This is very unusual in the lion world as there is usually just one dominant male who controls the pride and won't tolerate any other males.
These pics are taking a long time to upload so I'll post some more tomorrow.
