Boston John

Has anybody had the chance to talk to Boston John traffic controller?

I've listened to a few YouTube video's in which he's featured in. Sounds like he know's how to have a good time on the clock.

My favorite is/was COOOOLGAN and MOCHA HAGOTDI

I doubt that anyone has had any recent encounters with Boston John. If I remember right he took a position managing a facility out in Peurto Rico.

He'd always lift everyone's moods in BOS on tough days. Great person to have on the other side of the mic.

Don't worry though. Boston is still in good, yet less entertaining hands.

I was a fan of him on the BOS feed when I used to listen in back in the day, he got pretty silly but always kept the metal moving.

I used to fly or Colgan and I have had what I consider to be the privilege of getting Boston John one day coming in to BOS. I checked in on the visual and he said "COOOOOOOLGAN, cleared to land". I had a little "oh my god its him!" moment!

I can't believe it but I recently had a meeting about my future in ATC with Boston John at SJU tower. We talked alot and he told me about himself and how he got into the aviation industry. I didn't know at the moment that I was talking with THE "Boston John" and I found out weeks after meeting him, shame. He is very nice and even gave me a tour of the tower.
