Bose vs Bose w/ UFlyMike vs Clarity Aloft

I've been researching what headset I will want to get. I'm going to be flying the CRJ200. I have narrowed my search down to the Bose Aviation Headset, The Bose (no aviation) with the UFlyMike, and the Clarity Aloft. I was wondering what everyone's experiences with them are? What have you found that you love about them and hate about them?

Thanks!

I picked up the CA recently and I love it...it's extremely comfortable, and very light...you obviously have to be ok with having the earplugs in your ear the whole time. The downside (so far) is that it's hard to move the mic.out of the way if you're trying to eat or drink or whatever. Not a huge issue, but still. I've never tried the Bose, but for about half the price of the a12 or whatever it is, I definitely reccomend the CA. YMMV, of course.

I have been flying with the Bose/UFlyMike for 7 months. I love it! It is half the price of the Bose Aviation Head Set, works fantastic, and you get to use your headset for other things than flying! When not flying, I use my headset on my computer, IPAD, recorder, while flying as a passenger on Airlines. For the money and quality, can't beat it.

I had the Bose X and loved them, I now have the Clarity Aloft and like them a lot. If you have room in your kitbag I would go with the Bose, if not the Clarity Aloft are a nice headset.

Absolutely LOVING my new Bose A20! No arguing with high pricetag though. I just upgraded from my old Bose X.

Just keep in mind that the Bose stuff isn't TSOd and some companies have issues with that.

(actually, I don't know if the new one is or not, but the old stuff, and the UflyMic isn't)

I use the Bose QC15's with the UFlyMike adapter and I love it. They are super clear and the ANR is as good or better than my old Bose X headset. They are also smaller/lighter than the Bose X. And they become a regular ANR headset when you remove the UFlyMike adapter. So for half the price of the Bose X you get sweet ANR headphones, and essentially a Bose X headset.

From the UflyMike website:
11.05.10

UFlyMike Receives TSO Certification with the QC-15: The FAA has issued another TSO Authorization for the UFlyMike Aviation Headset using the Bose QuietComfort 15 (QC-15) Headphones, and the Westone UM1 Earbuds. If you fly for an air carrier that requires use of TSO'd headsets, contact UFlyMike for details.

Which is fine if you don't mind flying around with earbuds on inside your headset.

TSO'd Clarity Aloft! Luv mine!

Plus 1. Used it in the Embraer and it was great. It did have the occassional feedback problem but that was rare and specific to the Emb. I use it now in the 9 and it's even better. No headband and I can wear it with one plug in and the other out....or both plugs out in cruise with the speaker on just using the boom. The CA people are extremely friendly and appreciative to deal with as well.

Not that I would ever suggest breaking your company rules, but, uh, carry the earbuds eith you and only use them whem someone who cares is there.

You find much difference from the Bose X? Through a stroke of good karma, I happened into a brand new pair. I am thoroughly impressed so far ;)

Dang, I wish I had some karma like that! Haha. Gotta admit I was a little skeptical at first about "new & improved", but its true. Better fit, not as tight, really light, IS quieter, and love the Bluetooth and AUX in.
