Saint Louis,Missouri,United States 6K8DP2 Boeing Defense, Space & Security and the P-8 Poseidon program in Hazelwood, Missouri has an opening for a Systems Engineering Support Analyst Level 2/3 position as a Boeing 737/P-8 or Lockheed P-3 Pilot for Operational Flight Trainer Testing This position will support P-8 Operational Flight Trainer (OFT) and Desk Top Environment (DTE) software team by testing the Level D equivalent Boeing 737-800 P-8 Flight Simulators in St. Louis, MO, NAS Jacksonville, FL and NAS Whidbey Island, WA. This position will evolve in a short period of time (6 months) to a self starting, pilot test autonomous job with travel primarily to Jacksonville, FL and Whidney Island, WA, total of 25% of the time. Responsibilities include: Write Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs) Work with Simulator supplier to perform testing prior to delivery to Boeing on flight simulator to ensure quality is high Perform testing on simulator once converted from a 737 to a P-8 to ensure the simulator functions as does the aircraft in a Level D environment Test previously discovered anomalies to ensure they were in fact fixed Write test reports Boeing is the world's largest aerospace company and leading manufacturer of commercial airplanes and defense, space and security systems. This position requires an active (or ability to obtain) U.S. Security Clearance, for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. Qualifications Required: Previous experience as a 737/P-8/P-3 pilot. Ability to test and be familiar with anti-submarine/anti-ship capabilities of the P-8 in the flight simulator Preferred candidates should have a minimum of a Technical bachelor's degree in one of the following fields: Computer Science, Aviation Management, Math, Computer Programming, Systems Engineering or Systems Integration Typical Education / Experience: Level 2: Technical bachelor's degree and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or a Master's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study Level 3: Technical bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' or a PhD degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
