Ahhh the joys of flying for a regional. I just got displaced to Nashville. The joys of being a commuter pilot start in 3 weeks. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/banghead.gif

Any JCer conventions in the BNA area in the near future?
 
Funny timing. I literally just finished (10 minutes ago) booking flights and hotel for a trip to Nashville next week. Too soon for you to be there, I suppose. Looks like I'm overnight in Nashville next Thursday the 9th. Not sure yet how much free time I'll have.....

Is AWE starting a hub in BNA? Mesa starting their own thing there like Skywest is in COS? Just seems like a weird place for Mesa to put a crew base......
 
BNA is one of our United Express bases. DEN, also UEX base, has continued to downsize since UAL can't decide where we should fly. I highly doubt I'll be on the PHX roster until sometime next year (unless Airways liquidates then I'm back as an FO).

BNA is a weird place, but Mgmnt figured it'd be the safest, most central place to domicile us. But, tomorrow is a new day, and there are rumors of BNA closing, so I may be at IAD sooner than I had ever desired. Guess I'll start commuting to BOS at that point and live with family.

My best friend that just finished IoE is based in BNA, and I'm not to far to the Southeast in MEM. I wouldn't mind driving up and having a few with the great bogberto (Lloyd, you can come, too /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif ). Funny thing is, I actually WANT BNA as a base. Let's me stay with mommy and daddy until I can actually feed myself. Although, PHX is a close second on my list.....

hey bog i got sent back to BNA myself. I have been staying at the wingate since I commute. There are fewer and fewer TDYers left out here as time goes by. Southwest is usually wide open from phoenix. see ya out there in a few weeks, good luck. Who knows where we will be in the new year since there are rumors going each way of all RJs leaving denver or putting some back and then ive heard chicago open and nashville close and ive heard nashville stays. Who knows I get dizzy thinking of all the possibilitiies . /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/insane.gif .......

I think he meant your room at mommy & daddy's. Your parents wouldn't really notice the differnce between him and you, would they?

BNA is really not bad at all. I loved it in Nashville. But, that's because I like boot stompin honky tonk bars. I wouldn't mind BNA for a base!
 
OK, now for a silly question.....

I know some airports have really wierd codes, but most in the US are fairly logical. Like LAX, LGA, JFK, ATL, DFW, HOU, IAD. So my question is what's the B for in BNA?
 
Berry Field....used to be the military base. They actually still call the ANG ramp Berry Field.
