Blue juice

If this needs to go somewhere else please move, but I figured this would get the most eyes.

Am I crazy for being flabbergasted that the company I fly for says we don’t use blue juice in the lav. It’s a Beechjet. We just leave it dry or put some “chemical” bag liner in it. That’s not normal, right?

I am surprised, too unless its got some "incinerator" to burn it off like an ol LDV rolling command post that FEMA and alot of States have...a shi^^er that burns it while folks are on extended stays i a disaster area(s)

Find it hard to believe that type of operation would be in a Beechjet....but that's me spitballin here

Not unheard of. I’ve see it before because of the owner’s paranoia that if and when you have a lav leak or spill the juice will cause corrosion.

Maybe someone would want to do the research for chemical analysis, MSDS sheets, or ASTM spec for lav juice.

I don’t think the corrosion issues with spilled blue juice come from the blue juice portion of the spill...just sayin’

The beechjet doesn't have an external lav. It has what's refered to as a honey pot in the toilet. It onky holds about a gallon of waste. Unfortunately for you, you will have to manually pull the honeypot out and walk it through the cabin yourself or pay some poor line guy to do it to dispatch of the waste.

The operator that I used to work for did keep a tiny amount of blue juice in it to prevent dry balling. Overall it was an extremely unpleasant experience. i did not stay in that aircraft long enough to get used to it.

Yeah I’ve flown it elsewhere. Never heard if not putting the blue juice in though
