Binghamton Air Show...

Though you might enjoy these, for all those naysayers that exclaim "there's never anything to do in Binghamton!"

These guys actually pretended to land on top of everyone!

All it needs is Dick Cheney!

Loudest of all the air shows!

So here's where I come to story time...

I've missed the airshow the past two years because of the 2006 floods, and in 2007 I was TDY somewhere far away*. Finally I was able to visit this 727 that makes an appearance every year! I had the morning schedule this month, so as we landed at 2:05pm, we did so right in the middle of the air show! No pressure for a good landing or anything. With the Captain-America saab we taxied into the gate, shut down, and my FO and I decided to walk over and visit the show. The funny thing was, as we walked to the 727, the staff manning the FedEx station thought we were the pilots of the thing, and after walking up to see the cockpit, were greeted by several of the staff asking when we'd like to depart, etc.

Man, could've stolen a 72!

But alas, my love for a steady job and not being behind bars was too great...

* Colgan's definition of far away, like Charlottesville...
