Bid what you want....want what you bid!

Well guys, the latest news from the recalled, but unassigned ranks at an unnamed airline. A new bid came out last week, and I have been holding out for an MD-8X, since that was what I was on when furloughed. Everyone else around me has been getting 737-200 right seats since Dec, while I was waiting for that MD. So I was holding a standing bid for the MD, but had put the 767 and 737NG above it as well, figuring that I might as well dream. Well, results came out today, say hello to the nearly bottom new 767 first officer. I figure I'll be on reserve for about the next 4 years, assuming the airline lasts that long. Training to be sometime before 1 Dec, meaning I will have been out of the cockpit for about 1.5 years or so by the time I finish training. Again, never bid for something you aren't sure about, you might just get it.

I saw that too, enjoy the 76 MD! I was shocked how junior the ATL 76 went.
