BFR Sources

I'm in need of a BFR after being out of the cockpit for just over a year. Any recommendations on good sources or websites with study material? I'm pretty rusty - I'll study the PPL oral exam book, but was wondering if anyone had any other good sources. Last time I was up for a BFR I took the IR check ride and was able to bypass it.

faasafety.gov. Flight Review course. It actually can count as your full one hour, though most CFIs may go over some local stuff or things not covered in the course such as aircraft specific material.

Itll actually count as a BFR, but it does require flights on private maneuvers and commercial maneuvers.

Just to add, faasafety.gov has other courses, both FAA and outside courses such as the AOPA ASF courses. A great selection that you can use to further your knowledge and cover weaknesses you feel you have. You can fulfill the flight review requirements by doing a combination of on line courses and maneuvers with a CFI without actually getting a flight review signed off. In addition there may be other things you have done that will give you Wings credit through faasafety.gov. For example, a tail wheel endorsement.

Awesome, thanks for the insights guys. Will be the first time in a rental plane in a long time - I co-owned a couple of Skyhawks previously.

If you were in the PHX area I would do the flight for free! Just another reason to swing by our sunny state! :D
