Best flight planning websites

Hey, I'm looking at doing a flight from LGB-SZP-LAS in a 172. Just wondering if there's a quick and dirty flight planning website where I can get distance, time and fuel estimates.

Thanks!!

Once everything is set up and configured, fltplan.com is unbeatable. Nothing I've seen even comes close. You get a level of (accurate!) detail that would once have accompanied only a shuttle launch at the click of a few buttons. Even if you don't need all of the functionality now, if you plan to fly more complex aircraft someday (and don't plan to have a dispatcher to do all the grunt work for you), it's worth learning how to use it now so you don't have to later.

quick and dirty for my ferry trips I used landings.com (flight planning section) since it works for int'l flights pretty much anywhere to anywhere and again its quick

Our company uses fltplan.com for everything. What is cool is that you just enter the info ONE TIME and it puts it on the schedule, files flight plans, wx brief, passenger brief, FBO notification, sends route info and ATC delays to me, Fuel stops info, TOLD cards, current maps and charts for your route, and displays the most common used routes that other pilots use for the trip your doing.

What used to take a full hour to flight plan, you can now literally do in less than two minutes.

More recently, I have been doing everything on my phone. I can now quote a King Air trip in two minutes, and it will give me everything I need to know such as time en-route, and fuel I need on board. Nothing like forgetting to file your flight plan, push a few buttons while taxiing out, and have your clearance before getting to the runway!

Fltplan.com x3.

If you have foreflight, you can enter information about your flight into the route (true airspeed, GPH, altitude), and it will give you fuel burned along each leg of your route, ETE/ETA for each leg, as well as forecast winds. It's pretty nice.

I guess I should check out Flightplan, in the past I was using the AOPA flight planner, but Flightplan sounds pretty slick

One not mentioned is Voyager Duats, previously Voyager free flight. The program must be downloaded and can be found at Seatle Avionics. There are two versions- a pay program and the free one.
Voyager is probably one of the easiest to use out there. It has all the features you find in other programs (weight and balance, weather, etc), but also has some added features such as the ability to plan your flight for you. Plug in your start point, destination and altitude- then watch Voyager pick your route along victor airways. It will even give you the best altitude for winds aloft. One of the add on moduals is the ability to download your route onto a hand held.
Seatle Avionics is the company that developed AOPAs new software, has worked with Foreflight and Aspen Avionics.
